Who We Are
The large heart of our logo represents our group of members. The tumbling hearts represent the many charities we serve.
We are a group in Central Florida that meets to crochet, knit, loom knit, and sew items to donate to various local organizations that serve our communities. We meet in four locations in and near The Villages, Florida and have approximately 100 active members.
UPDATE: As of October 18, 2024, Abundance Of Love is a registered 501(c)(3) charity.
What We Do
We provide hats and scarves to local school children and youth; hats, scarves, soap sacks, and blankets to the homeless and to transitional housing; mastectomy aids and chemo caps to cancer centers; medical dolls and surgical hats to local hospitals; blankets and afghans to veteran and hospice centers; prayer shawls and prayer squares to hospice organizations, and other items as the need arises.
We also teach new members how to crochet, knit and loom knit.
Who We Serve
We work with schools, non-profit organizations, and hospitals in Central Florida, within approximately an hour's drive from The Villages. We believe in serving our local communities as much as possible.
